PATIENT INFORMATION

PATIENT INFORMATION

Your First Visit

Your first appointment at our office is very important to us. Our team will take the time to fully explain our office policies and procedures, and to answer any of your questions. As a new patient, you will spend approximately one hour with the dentist to discuss your medical and dental history, as well as to share your goals and vision for your oral health.

During this initial appointment, we will conduct a comprehensive oral examination including a set of digital x-rays and intra-oral photographs. A full head and neck examination, including an oral cancer screen, will be performed as well.

Once the assessment is completed, we will provide you with a thorough diagnosis of any existing dental health conditions, and together we will design a treatment plan to suit your wants and needs.

Please bring a complete list of any medications you are currently taking to your first appointment.

Anxious Patients

Our caring team strives to put our patients at ease. We understand that, for some, a visit to the dentist can cause apprehension. We do our best to alleviate your concerns before, during and after each treatment by explaining each procedure in detail and answering any questions you may have.

In addition, to help our patients have a relaxed and comfortable dental treatment, we offer the following solutions.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide is a gas that is dispensed through a mask in carefully measured doses. Used to alleviate patient anxiety during dental procedures for over 100 years, when it is inhaled, nitrous oxide provides a general feeling of calm and wellbeing.

Oral Sedation

Suitable for most types of procedures, oral sedation can be easily administered in the form of liquid or pills in order to significantly reduce anxiety during any treatment. *Please arrange to have someone accompany you to and from your appointment.

Technology

To assist us in diagnosing and treating your dental concerns, our office employs dental technology such as digital radiography, which uses approximately 75% less x-rays than standard film, and an intra-oral camera which takes snapshots of the inside of your mouth. The high-resolution images taken by the camera are then projected onto a large screen to be viewed and discussed by you and Dr. Ross.

Cancellations and Missed Appointment Policy
